Procedures for Changing the Legal Representative of a Company

  1. Shareholders’ Meeting: Resolution to appoint a new legal representative. (To be carried out after the new representative has obtained a visa and RFC).
  2. Notarization and Registration: Notarization of the shareholders’ resolution and registration with the Public Commercial Registry.
  3. Notifications to Government Authorities of the Change of Legal Representative:
    1. Tax Administration Service (SAT)
    2. Social Security Institute (IMSS) / Housing Fund (INFONAVIT)
    3. Ministry of Economy (Secretaría de Economía): Foreign Investment Registry (RNIE) / IMMEX program
